I'll give it 1 out of 5. 1 for the music - Elvis is equal with Sam Cooke as the greatest male vocalist to ever live. It was too long; the story went too fast with some very weird sequences in it; hard to keep track of where it was in the timeline; felt like I was watching a documentary rather than a scripted movie. A very disappointing movie and portrayal of him as they didn't really delve a lot in to the heart of the characters. I know no more about him than I did at the start of the movie. The movie implies that Elvis was drafted in to the army due to the Colonel arranging it so he wouldn't go to jail, straight after the Rosewood concert on July 4, 1956. This is untrue. Elvis signed up for Special Services 11 days after his 18th birthday in 1953, but it took the army until 1957 to draft him and he went in to the army in 1958. It had nothing to do with what he did at the concert. That whole bit was weird as he was never going to be charged with anything after that concert. And... what was it with that rap music during the movie? Talk about out of place. I hate movies that take liberties with the truth for dramatic purposes. Bohemian Rhapsody is a prime example of doing that.

Where The Crawdads Sing! Beautifully acted, well directed, strong characterisations, stunning cinematography and a well written screenplay. One of the finest movies I have seen in a long time. Daisy Edgar Jones is a standout. I have been a fan of her acting since I first saw her in War Of The Worlds. The support cast were very good as well. Despite the movie centering around an alleged murder and there being a few tame sex scenes in it - where nothing of an explicit nature is shown - it is such a refreshing change to watch a movie that doesn't rely on blood and gore, explicit sex scenes, over the top action and cuss filled dialogue to tell the story. Maybe that's why some critics called it a snooze fest, as they are so used to watching movies of that nature, as well as the superhero genre. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those types of movies as well, plus I am a big fan of horror movies, but this one was a welcome change of pace for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who is also searching for that same change of pace!
