Read several times. Scott is a brilliant man, fearless of insults against his exposure of false science. The preface sets the tone. His humble admission that he desires to be used in his older years, coupled with his refusal to return the insults hurled against him, give massive credibility to the fact that earth is not a spinning ball, and that the science of today is merely the sacred cow of the past which leaves God out of His own creation. Scott lays out the reason of tides, shadows, how water always behaves, perspective, vanishing points which destroys the 'theory' why ships disappear over the horizon NOT because of curvature of course, but because of perspective and lensing/distortion. He is an excellent thinker, and writes plainly what true science actually is. An open and honest mind will agree with his premise. Great book for the ages and so necessary today.
