I can appreciate the live action wanting to 'distance' itself from the original movie but in doing so.. some of the characters depth is lost. The scenery made for a more powerful drama yet the storyline.. too shallow and fast paced. I love love the original and overall I am not pleased with this remake. I gave it a 3 for the acting itself.
