It's a mashup of every clichéd idea this white, NY male ever found inspirational then vomited it up onto the screen. It's Coppola, so it's sort of well vomited. The only "good" female character is so because she dedicates her life to pulling the male genius back from the edge and has his baby. That's her only reason for existing, to facilitate a man's life and give birth. The dialogue is so disjointed there isn't a clear story and no single relatable character. It's 2.5 hours of relentess visual assault, clichés, and unappealing characters.
