this movie is able to portray the mindset of people on that specific time period on so many levels for example fear that people felt towards homosexuality ,then the fear the main characters itself felt. at the beginning we are introduced to a fearless or for lack of a better word carefree character (birdy)who by the end of the movie becomes so cautious he forgets to love the one character who have broken out of his shell to love him (jia-han) this movie is like a sad reality of people of the LGBTQ+ community. this movie prompts us to ask the question what's the difference between a hetrosexual and homosexual couple? the one section where the movie couldn't reach its potential was the end it felt kind-of rushed but other that that i consider it to be a masterpiece . if your the genre of BL for the first time this is a good movie to start at hoping you all have a wonderful time !
