Too many lose ends Plot is untidy ,haven't read the book so I'm not sure if the same is true there Couldn't work out how the exotic animals "shop" suddenly reinvented itself as a very smart office "Senior" police officer is peculiarly cast Is this just ment to be funny? The murderous dancing duo don't seem to be held to account Bit "hit and miss" for me

Poignant Full of social comment of the times Excellent cinematography Fantastic understated acting Superb script Correct costumes Overall an axcellent and underrated film Highly recommended

Awful Horribly dark in every way Ive read the book twice in my life,yet kept asking myself if this adaptation was even remotely based on the same book!!! Starts quite closely to the original,then veers off somewhere else The names of the characters remain the same,so I got confused 😕 to start with Read the book for yourselves instead It's saving grace (just the one) is that the acting is ,for the most part ,very good Dreafy together with the 🎶 music
