This was a waste of time. I got fidgety at about the 45 minute mark and only forced myself to finish so that I didn’t completely waste the 45 minutes. Owen Wilson played another version of the same character he plays in every movie: the befuddled, passive, uncool, straight white guy who seems as if the world is passing him by. JLo played JLo. The plot is straight out of her real life, so no surprises at all, except that she never found the right guy in real life. Even her singing was a disappointment. The lyrics were laughable (“ma-ma-ma-ma ma-ma-ma-ma marry me”) and her voice wasn’t very good without the extra production used in real life. It’s a shame that we didn’t even get memorable singing performances from the movie. That might’ve earned it an extra star or two.

1. Ritchson has the emotion of an oak tree, and is that stiff as an actor. I don’t care if that’s the Reacher from the books, it doesn’t play well here. It is hard for the viewer to connect to him because he is not connected to anyone else. 2. This story was unnecessarily long and drawn out. Should’ve been a 90 minute movie. 3. Gratuitous violence and gore might fly in the books, but it was overkill ( no pun intended) in this show. 4. I begrudgingly watched the whole show because I though there was nothing else on. But anything would’ve been better than this.
