Great acting, scripts, story. They do a terrific job tying stories, situations and people mentioned in the New Testament come life in a very personal, relatable and believable way. You come to love the characters. I can't wait for season 2. I have watched season one 3+ times, and always feel uplifted and like I can be closer to Jesus after watching. I love how he choses people despised in the Jewish culture at the time. The story shows Jesus wasn't out to be popular, but to share love, forgiveness and the opportunity for growth for any who were willing and open-minded enough to really listen to him and consider His teachings. A very needed message for these confused times where so much focus is on hatred and lack of forgiveness and the most negative aspects of people being constantly presented by the mass media. This message is refreshing showing that, even in times of oppression true unity, love and acceptance is achievable by focusing on God's will, loving and forgiving our neighbors and loving God and ourselves.
