It’s hilarious to me that I didn’t even give this album a chance at first. Now it’s my second favorite Slipknot album. “Iowa”—both the song and the album—brought all us maggots on a dark, twisted, but still super enjoyable journey through an anger that I think all of us felt. This is by far Slipknot’s darkest, heaviest album, and no other band will ever even get close to creating a masterpiece like this one. Great album, great songs, great everything.

Okay, for real: why is this album so underrated? I’ve been listening to Slipknot for seven years now, ever since I was nine years old. The first song I ever heard by them is “The Devil In I,” and to this day, I love that song. This is my favorite Slipknot album, which I guess makes it my favorite album ever since they’re my favorite band of all times. I love the journey of the album. The loss of Paul Gray (rest in peace) really did bring out another side of Slipknot, and even the order they put the songs was perfect. This album spoke to me more than any of their other albums, and I don’t see why so many people don’t like it. I think it’s perfect.

I’ve been a Foo Fighters sucker since I was nine years old, seven years ago. And this album really disappointed me. It was kind of hard to get through, as much as I gave it a chance. “No Son Of Mine” and “Holding Poison” are both amazing songs in my opinion, and I don’t think they deserved to be on such a horrible album. I understand that Foo Fighters wanted to go for a different style, but it just didn’t work for me. Very disappointing.

Honestly? It wasn’t bad. I’ll try to do this without containing spoilers, I guess. Overall, the movie was much more “suspense” than “horror,” but I liked the plot of it. Without any spoilers, I liked the plot twist a lot, even though I already knew because I got lots of spoilers before I watched the actual movie. It wasn’t really an “ooh, a demon doll that’s haunting me!!!” kind of thing, and it was much more psychological and I loved that. If you don’t want to watch this movie because you think a doll coming to life would be stupid and unoriginal, then trust me on this: there was much more to it.

As usual, Shaun David Hutchinson didn’t at all disappoint me in this beautiful, wholesome, LGBTQ+ novel. A likable protagonist looking for his missing boyfriend, hilarious and understanding best friends, and so many issues teenagers truly face in high school. Hutchinson never ceases to amaze me in each and every one of his novels, and he is definitely my all time favorite author. Ten out of five stars for this book. A must read for anyone.

Okay, for real: HOW IS SHAUN DAVID HUTCHINSON SO GIFTED?!?!?!? I didn’t even finish the book yet and it’s already in at least my top ten. At least. I love the protagonist, I love the plot, I love all the real life threats and challenges in teenage lives, and me being a teenager myself can really relate to lots of the problems faced in this amazing, heartbreaking book. I just started the book yesterday and I’m already on page 200. It’s a real page turner. It will make you laugh, cry, smile, cry some more...hands down, it’s amazing. I can’t think of anything better to ask for in this book. I love it.

Hands down, one of the best series I’ve ever read. The characters were so complexed and enjoyable (mostly), and I loved Tom so much. Benny’s character development from the beginning of the first book to the end of the last book is mind blowing. Highly recommended if you like apocalypses like I do. Such an amazing read, and such an amazing and tragic story. Jonathan Maberry did such a great job.

Honestly, I always loved Mulan, her movie and her character. She was always my favorite Disney character, and I was so excited when this movie came out. Sadly, I was so disappointed with this movie, for a number of reasons. They changed it too much, and of course they’re allowed to change some things, but I could hardly even tell that this movie was supposed to be Mulan. Where was that Shang guy? I liked him a lot, and I’m not saying Mulan needs a love interest, but it was weird that he wasn’t in it. The same for the rest of the people fighting with her. They added humor, honor, and friendship into the original movie, and I enjoyed their stupidity a lot. Also, where was the dragon?! I was so mad that the dragon wasn’t in the movie. He added so much to the original, but instead we just got a stupid phoenix for a full two seconds. Don't Get me wrong, I love phoenixes, but that was so unnecessary. And why was their magic in that movie?! I was so confused, and I was so disappointed in it. I would not recommend this movie at all, and that’s coming from a huge Mulan fan.

I saw this movie years ago and rewatched it a few weeks ago, and I forgot how much I loved it. Meryl Streep did so amazing (as usual), and although Johnny Depp’s character was only in it for one scene, he still did amazing. James Corden and Emily Blunt worked so well together, and overall, I thought the casting was amazing. I’m usually not a fan of musicals, and I also don’t prefer Disney movies that always end with the main characters getting married and living “happily ever after,” and and this movie satisfied those thoughts exactly. I like how you think the movie will end with Cinderella and Prince Charming getting married, but SYKE! There’s more! I loved the dark and twisted spins on the movie, and I think that more Disney movies need to be that way. I don’t know about you guys, but we need to get more tastes of reality in our Disney movies, and Into The Woods did that exactly. Overall, I thought it was a great movie, and I’m so happy I watched it again.

Honestly, I hated it. No offense to anyone who loved it, but it’s much more of a love/hate book. I read City Of Bones, and I stopped reading the ridiculously long series after that. The couple of pros in that book was the LGBTQ+ representation, a few cool characters, and I can’t really think of anything else. Sometimes I didn’t hate the plot, but for the most part I could only read about two pages at a time. Clary was not a very likable protagonist, I did NOT ship her and Jace at all, and it was way too romantic for me. And the whole plot twist with (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Valentine “being Jace’s dad” and him and Clary being siblings did not sit well with me. And then how (SPOILER ALERT AGAIN!!!) it was all fake afterwards...UGH! I didn’t enjoy this book, so don’t check it out. Unless you’re into supernatural and romance, but besides that, count yourselves out.
