It was a really compelling and interesting movie and scenery in it is just so beautiful! Like one of the comments said, it makes me want to visit the country side in the country where the movie is based.
I was watching this on live tv and my internet acted up so there are scenes in the movie which I missed. However, that didn’t take much away from movie experience.
Ian (I’m not sure if this name is correct. The actor with the birth mark on his neck) is such an amazing actor! I could see the emotions in his eyes without words needing to be conveyed. Those unspoken emotions he portrayed in the movie was engrossing. The other actors were really great too! Van’s mother is such a beautiful woman.
I like the theme of Family and coming out in this movie. I loved grandma too and how supportive she was. I liked how the mother gradually accepted her son the way he is and only wanted him to live a happy life.
I gave this movie 4 star because there were parts of the plot that did not have a conclusion to it. I saw the conflict but how was it resolved? It ended with the large elephant in the room still being ignored. By elephant, I don’t mean only the fact that he is gay. I also mean other family issues.
Nonetheless, it was an amazing movie! I hope more people check it out. It deserves all the positive attention and more. 💜
I apologize for the long comment.
