The plot didn’t make sense, the writing is awful and there’s basically no point. Maybe people who are filled with nostalgia can overlook the dorkiness of this movie. So many things were left unexplained. Why would the inciting incident of the whole movie be that a mother/daughter relationship is not working out? What’s so unusual about that that it would cause Barbie to have some need to leave the Barbie world? They should have spent more time thinking this through. Didn’t they see Enchanted?
