M&M Kart Racing for Wii, although I must admit it's a rather rocky journey. The graphics, to put it gently, seem to have taken inspiration from a time long before HD was a thing. Lets say, 3000 BC. The characters, resembling M&M candies on wheels, have a certain simplicity that some might find endearing, though it does lean more towards basic than charming.
When it comes to the gameplay, it's a mixed bag. The kart controls do feel a bit clunky, and the AI opponents lack the edge that could have made races more thrilling. Power-ups, while present, don't quite pack the punch you'd hope for in a kart racing game. There's a certain nostalgic charm in the simplicity of it all, like stumbling upon an old childhood toy with a few scratches.
However, it's vital to manage expectations. M&M Kart Racing isn't exactly a beacon of innovation or excitement. While it might scratch a minor itch for kart racing on the Wii, there are certainly better options available. It falls short of being a memorable gaming experience, and if you have other titles on your radar, I'd recommend giving this one a pass. A hard pass.
