First, I watched this to the end…but it took me almost two months and only when I wanted something so boring that I could fall asleep to. There are quite a few words that sum this show up and some of those words are: boring, fake, pretentious, and dumb. We, my family, expected this to live up to Squid Game. We knew Netflix couldn’t really kill people, but as eliminated people pretend to die when they are eliminated you can’t help but say, “This might be the dumbest game show ever created and that we are dumber for watching some of it and no longer have any brain cells for watching it to the end, thinking it will get better.” The truth: Every episode is worse than the first one. The games they play include human battleship, rock paper scissors, pick someone you hate and want them eliminated, etc etc dumb dumb dumb and dumber games. Almost every interview seemed scripted except for Phil and Sam. It’s probably not the contestants faults, rather how it was edited. Outside of those two the editing made every character seem pretentious and sometimes you wish that someone would really stab someone or at least maybe run into the production room and kill everyone that decided to make this. They ruined the original Squid Game and we may not even be able to watch the second season of the original series if one is made. This was so bad that Netflix may have lost our trust in creating originals just a little. Second, the show comes off as desperation to cash in on a popular series. What’s next: Stranger Things Challenge, Bridgerton Challenge, or Ginny and Georgia Challenge? Better yet, Dahmer Challenge where people play a game pretending to eat each other? Finally, I can’t believe I watched this whole thing. I can’t even look in the mirror anymore at the hatred I now have for myself. Spoiler: No one wins because this is a loser of a show!
