Jaque de Paula (J4CKIE)

I’ve watched this show recently because everyone told me it was very bad when it came out and I wanted to have my own perspective. But it is really bad. Trust me. To be fair, the two first episodes are good and interesting. After that, the story changes completely. Tedros (The Weeknd’s character) is now the centre of the narrative, the centre of the universe for all of those characters. It’s basically just about his cult and his control over everyone’s mind. It’s creepy and boring. The two last episodes are so confusing, you literally lose track of what is going on. But what makes me so frustrated is that this show had everything to be THE SHOW. The premise was interesting, the actors are all excellent, the visuals are great. It has so much potential and then it just became something… disturbing. I’m not talking about the sex/ kink scenes. Many people think for example that Saltburn is disturbing, I don’t. Saltburn made it make sense. The Idol just used the sex scenes to hide the fact that the writing was bad.
