I've seen the original movie a few times, read some of the comics, and I'm 3 episodes into Age of Resistance and I have to say that I'm so impressed and excited! The visuals and effects are true to the original, yet look great. I love the puppets! It brings back the nostalgia of the great films of that era (star wars, etc.) The story and lore. All the odd creatures and the illuminati-style rule of the Skeksis. There's so much in every scene. Not to mention the outstanding line up of voice actors and actresses. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy/adventure shows. I would not recommend this for young children, though as there are some dark moments in the show. I would say kids about 10 and up would be able to handle it. The Dark Crystal is one of those very unique franchises that only comes around once in a great while.
