This was a good documentary but it should have been titled something else. This was all about a radio station in Long Island, not new wave music. I saved and watched this because I wanted to watch a movie about all the bands I grew up listening to. I didn’t want to watch a documentary about a radio station in Long Island! This should have been called “WLIR, how cool were we?” I mean cool, they were one of the first to play that kind of music but it was just a movie about them, their djs and their east coast fans. Sorry but I loved punk and new wave too but I never heard of them or listened to them. If the movie would have included UK stations or KROQ or other stations around the country then cool; it’s a movie about how radio helped new wave and punk get on the air. The whole wlir thing started to piss me off after a while. They sound like they are giving themselves credit for starting new wave, or at least that’s how they presented it. Re-name ur wlir radio movie and u might not piss of people in the UK who listened to this music long b4 Long Island or fans of Rodney on the Roq who brought punk and new wave to the West.
