Cons:
I usually like puzzle games, but couldn't get though it, the puzzles were terrible. Some were repetitive and boring, the same type of puzzle over and over. Some of the puzzles were timed, so you end up spending twenty minutes on one puzzle tying to get the timing right. Other puzzles were incredibly difficult because you walked past whatever cave or rock or other thingy were supposed to interact.
You also regularly ran into what looked to be caves or spots you could crawl though, only to discover that the fox was unable to go in their. Your fox was clearly the right size to go into ____ hole/cave, but you were just stopped by an invisible wall.
There was also a very long period where the fox was walking super slowly after getting injuried in a cut scene. You have to just keep on walking at a super slow pace for what had to be at least 5 minutes, maybe even 10 minutes. I ended up getting out my laptop to watch youtube out of boredom at some point.
I also didn't like the story. The lack of voiceovers and wording sounded like a cool design choice, but it left me with only one takeaway: red stuff bad, blue stuff good, something something ruins of an ancient civilization. I had no idea what was happening beyond that. Why did this fox care about these people? (To be fair, I didn't first the game, I only got to chapter 5).
If you play on the switch, it can be hard to see the fox sprit guide during the first level, as she really blends in with the background.
I really don't understand why this game has such a high rating on steam and google, but some of the other review sites seem to agree with me.
Pros:
The scenery was really nice, the fox was cute, and I didn't pay for it, I just borrowed it from my school's library.
My roommate and I had fun making fun of the bad gameplay. And it did district me for a fairly long time. I'm not sure why I spent over 6 hours on a game I didn't really like, but I did.
