Lee Miller was clearly a irascible and irritating woman and I would not have enjoyed being in her company for five minutes in real life.
The famous staged Hitler bath photo has to be one of the most oddly self-serving photos of all time and I found myself closing my eyes for fear of seeing Kate Winslet climb into the bath naked now that she has become the RMS Titanic.
I give it two stars because her war correspondent sidekick 'Scherman' was likeable and I didn't quite fall asleep underwhelmed.

I walked out after about 40 minutes and was surprised I lasted that long. Boring melody of Yee-haas, CGI twisties, revving V8s and horrendous cheesy over acting.
It felt like an insult to my self respect to sit through it all.

Awful. Just awful. Axel should have stayed in Detroit after Beverly Hills Cop 2.

In this world where most people you see and know, are near constantly distracted looking at phone screens and disconnected from other people in person - this film is a beautiful little breath of fresh air and sanity.
The gentle and patient deliberateness of everything he does is therapeutic and tangible to watch.
He's present. His eyes and attention are open to the everyday mundane world which is more real than anything on a screen.

What an utterly beautiful film. Caine and Jackson are such a class above and beyond with their sublime tender acting. It's poignant, funny and it made me cry three times...and I rarely shed tears in a cinema.

I snoozed about 40 minutes in and when I resurfaced the movie improved because I'd given it a fresh start. Mind you, this is not a good sign of an engaging watch.
