it had a slow coming death since chameleon and miracle queen, then completely ruined all of its potential throughout season 5 (except for whenever socqueline was on screen and was portrayed at full strength). from the constant character assassinations (rip félix) to the messy plotlines that aren't even consistent with previously provided information, this show is a masterclass on what NOT to do for your cartoon. the owl house got its season 3 massively reduced, while miraculous has been approved to go all the way up to 8 seasons and could potentially have 12, and for what? marinette and adrien barely even develop as characters, let alone their dynamic with each other, until season 5 when things change because... they kinda had to, it was the last season of that arc. the show is also lowkey racist and sexist to pretty much every person that exists. they whitewash their characters (alya and max when transforming, socqueline's design), and they also make characters like kagami give into félix's advances even after he literally kidnapped her. yikes. it also doesn't help that its fandom is a cult that cannot handle any criticism of this show and even send death threats regularly to people who are fans of lila/cerise and chloé. like, they should be investigated and all. this show also seems to be critic proof considering it's still regarded as a really great cartoon and overshadows more deserving titles. anyways, i recommend jade armor
