Long time fan of the franchise. Diablo 3 was unimpressive at first, but as it evolved it became a truly enjoyable game. I am hopeful that the team behind D4 can add some fun late game features that make it as good if not better than D3. So far, it's a far cry away. I was hoping to hit 100 for the first season, but I simply can't force myself to log on and hit the buttons. It is pointless and boring to 'finish'. Meanwhile we have a game like Baldurs Gate 3 dropping, and it's hard to understand why BG3 is overwhelmingly fun and addictive while D4 simply isn't. 2 Stars because the game engine and mechanics are good. There are good bones here. Let's see if they deliver a more finished product in the coming years. D3 was a blast a few years in, I believe D4 will be super fun down the road.
