This film was full of sadness, pathos and not much humor. Tom Hanks I have to say was just perfect for the role. I thought after about half an hour the story dropped off and became a little boring, perhaps overall it was just too long. Having lost his wife Otto was clearly a sad moody man, feeling as if everyone and everything was against him. Whilst not looking for a fairy tale ending it would have been better if his mood lightened and he started to enjoy life a little more.

I am really loving this series. It is quirky but played out in such a manner to be entertaining and believable. David Mitchell is excellent playing the role to perfection. Each story, I have seen three episodes is different, and watching the manner in which he solves the case is fascinating. Anna Maxwell Martin gives her usual solid performance. I just hope the BBC commissions another series.

Firstly I had never seen the lead actor before Arron Pierre, I thought he was outstanding, until I looked him up on Google I thought he was an American actor so good was his accent so full marks to him. The story although not original corrupt cops and judges, in this instance was well thought through. The action was not overdone, in the end good won over evil. I do however have two complaints. Number one the music, far too overbearing, thus the dialogue was far from clear. The modern way of producing movie sounds does not work with TV. I often wonder if films really need music, it would be interesting to watch a thriller without any.

This was a series all about a woman wanting a better life, and her daughter back whatever the cost. I had never seen the lead actress before but she was excellent and easily slipped into her many disguises. The pace was just right, each episode had something different and the characters believable. However the stand out performance for me was the daughter, Kelly, the young girl playing her was brilliant, a star in the making if ever I saw one.

Never have I seen so many flashbacks in a film or series. It was almost impossible to follow the script. The story was not a great one the ending neither one thing or the other. Now I like Sam Neil, but feel he was miscast. As for the four sons and daughters have you ever seen a family where all have no resemblance whatsoever? The story I suppose was simply about a dysfunctional family with a couple of hidden or not so hidden secrets. Not great.

This could have been so much better, drawn out over six episodes at times “padding” was obvious. It did not take me long to know the missing wife was alive, and half way through I knew who had put out the” hit” on her. Some of the acting frankly was dire, there were times when I could almost hear the Director shout Action as the three women just stood static. I watched it to the end just to make sure my suspicions were correct, they were, as to the ending strange to say the least, perhaps it was meant to make the viewers say aah I knew it was him. No second series please.

A typical wealthy family saga with many secrets. Overall a pleasant watch, Eve Henson as Amelia in my opinion was the outstanding performer.Nicole Kidman played her usual self, assured the matriarch of the family who everyone relied on. The storyline had a few twists, but as with most series of this kind it all came down to sex and money. A nice enjoyable watch that never taxed the brain.

I just could not understand the premise behind this movie. Would a CIA or whoever Agent be as casual as the character played by Russel Crowe? The storyline was confusing, as to who was who I do not know. Could have been a much more exciting film, but I detected no tension throughout.

A superb comedy drama which I discovered by mistake. These mis fits in life are believable characters and no doubt there are many who live like this. Dodgy dealing, setting people up, but all with a heart of gold, well silver at least, and the acting is superb. The character Vinnie is outstanding, the actor playing him delivers his lines and the various emphasis in such a manner that many actors should be jealous of, I have not seen him before but he really is outstanding. There is comedy, drama, pathos, sadness, the complete mix it is everything a comedy drama should be. Five stars.

When I read reviews about new comedy shows with such words as very funny, hilarious I am tempted to watch. Now I no longer trust such reviews,this so-called comedy was dire with a capital D. It was awful, tripe, ridiculous I could go on. If this is comedy then God help us.
