The only good thing about this movie is that it had a redemption and justification in the end. Just as Roots was put in the face of every one so that they had to see that evil people still exist in our modern society, this is another that shows that Americans have alot to atone for. I've never owned anyone, I've been a good and righteous person. However I myself have to say how much I'm sorry for how people of color were treated. All in the name of hate and profit. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the Philippines, with many Americans taken as POWS, finally Americans understood what happened in Africa and the South. Yet even after being POWS, African-Americans were still treated as second class citizens. WW2 didn't teach anything. Don't judge by the color of skin but by the content of one's character.
