I love this album. I remember when it was released in 1981. I had been wearing out Unleashed in the East and British Steel on my turntable. So I was excited to hear something new. I was blown away by every song. Desert Plains was an immediate favorite. It's the kind of song that is great listening to while cruising down the road. Monster rhythm and great vocals. I was blown away again when I went to see them perform in Seattle on their Worldwide Blitz tour promoting Point of Entry. They opened the show with Solar Angels. Such a perfect song to open with. The driving metal rhythm at the beginning of the song builds anticipation. There are moments in the song where the guitar work sounds to me like musical waterfalls. It's an amazing piece of music and includes amazing vocals by Halford. This whole album never disappoints. I find myself 42 years later never skipping any of the songs when I listen to the album. It's that good.
