Until this book, I'd yet to encounter a book of healing so gentle but so honest. Ann Napolitano's characterization is what stood out most to me the most; every character had complex motives that we only scratch the surface of understanding by visiting them for a moment of their life. The perspective switched between the moment of the crash and Edward's life afterwards, both carrying themes from each other to reconstruct Edward from the ashes of what happened. "Dear Edward" is one of the best books I've ever read and I highly recommend it.
