Odiyan the most anticipated movie of the year. The movie came up with huge promotions and hype. All over. The movie is all set around the character of odiyan. The great black magician or I would like to call him a man uses disguise to make people fear. The movie is set out in a small village. The movie has good performance from actors. Performance of Mohanlal sir Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier are special noted. The vfx didn’t grow up to the expectation. Even though it was good in specific scenes. Good use of cinematography. Night scenes are well made. Could have been better. A wonderful set was made and hats off to that. The direction. Didn’t find anything that was astonishing. But he did good for his first one. The movie has good story idea and concept. That is a plus point. The movie didn’t respected the hype that was given. But they could have gone up to the hype or more than it. The movie was stuck into the reality. The story actually has got the element of fantasy. But didn’t brought that element of fantasy into the script. The writers didn’t try to think out of the box. The box of stories that were told by grandmothers in palakad. I am satisfied with the climax. It was great. Could have been better if the element of fantasy was used from the beginning. The movie lacked the element of surprise and thrilling. The movie was predictable. Movie could have been trimmed down to short time. In a total sum the movie is watchable. Worth the money. Don’t expect too much. The character of the director to the movie was just business. It is clear from the hype given and post release press conference. That is not good at all. You lost the trust of the viewers. It may not affect now. But it may cause you for your upcoming movies.

The film was mainly put into the genre of sci fi. But the movie doesn't do any sci fi elements at all. I say it is all just cheap promotion. First ever sci fi in molloywood. People would fall for it. The film is about one thing how history can be manipulated for sake of the ones who looks for glory.The movie is totally a satire type.And you won't find it till the end.The movie is unpredictable. We could experience three levels of acting from Dileep.Good art work and cinematography is to noticed and good graphics too.
