Doesn’t deserve the bad reviews. A fun & unique take on the genre. However M Night has def lost his touch. The execution of this movie could have been done sooooo much better & the script/dialog wasn’t the best. But still an enjoyable watch tbh.

Solid movie. Not for typical Zombie fans. Great acting. Unique take. Well structured.

1. Highly overrated movie in the sense that it is highly average. 2. Title is incredibly misleading & doesn’t relate much to the movie. 3. Director was fantastic with what he had to work with. The filmography was well shot, unique & artistic. 4. The characters although cliche, were not executed to their best potential. Too many side stories that could have been 1 major storyline and the major storyline they focused on to me was very poor in comparison. 5. The main character, grandson, was not a good person nor were most of the characters in the movie. I found most of them highly unlikeable & to me, they were banking on their real life popularity for the movie’s success. 6. To me a highly below-average movie that did not deserve the recognition it got. The meaning behind the movie, the title’s intention, etc all fell flat. 7. I feel this movie was nowhere near the tear jerker it was claimed to be. The inheritance angle could have been great & unique but it was wrapped up lazily and lacking proper meaning behind the whole movie. 8. Main character was a bum & by the end of the movie was still a bum but with a better heart. Period.
