At first I was desperate to find a queer book that would evoke some romantic feelings in me, be soft and sweet. I randomly came across this book on the Internet and decided to give it a try. It wasn't what I was looking for. It appeared to be something greater.
The plot captivated my attention from first pages. The scenery, the plot, the characters are all written so well that it certainly felt like this book is based on a real-life story. The realness of this book is something that I appreciate the most. You don't often read something as good as that work.
"The heart's invisible furies" is about a real life with its good and bad sides, mistakes that people make and how they try to resolve them, that doesn't always end up as the wanted. It shows that every decision you make has its consequences not only on your own life, but also on lives of people around you.
The plot is unpredictable and has some great plot twists that bring genuineness and realness to it.
Characters of the book is another highlight of the book since each one of them are not only well-written, but also are full of unique traits and have an interesting background story.
Along with that, I laughed hard at jokes that the author included. I felt sympathy to the main character, despite him making lots of mistakes. It only shew that we all are humans, we all make mistakes and it's up to us what how we deal with the consequences.
I'll definitely read this book again in the future.
