Made the mistake of watch “Shrill” on Hulu. Will not be doing that again. I totally understand that not everyone is pro-life. However, this show claiming to be so “real” isn’t doing any favors for people who are pro-choice either. The main characters abortion is shown on screen as if it was super simple and easy with no physical recovery needed at all. She’s literally all smiles afterwards. While I’ve never had an abortion, I have had a D&C after a miscarriage which is a similar procedure and no one would be up in a dress and heels parading around town the next day. It is such a false portrayal of the truth. You are entitled to your opinion and I do my best to be respectful, even when I do not agree but at least be honest if you are trying to push your agenda or beliefs. No one wins with lies.
