Just watching this. Looks like the perfect scenario for what can go wrong will go wrong. Two families linked by sisters but totally different lifestyles, values, morals and culture. A perfect mix for disaster and fun and chaos.

Did not disappoint - the more I read this author the more I want to read him. Have now read all of the David Raker novels so far and can't wait for the next book to be released I believe in November 2021.
Tim Weaver's character gets into some incredible scrapes and escapes - I love how the stories from book 1 onwards relate someway to the next. Poetic license is used and acknowledged. As fiction goes Tim makes the stories feel real. Can't put a book down once I get into the story.

You have to remember to read this book with "tongue in cheek". It is like Richard Osman clever and funny. Giggling from my bedroom hasn't happened in many a year. His characters are predictably funny and since the book is set around a retirement village, you can be assured the residents are nosey, pedantic, determined and irritating. You have to love the characters though. As a first book can't fault Richard Osman on this one.

I love these films as a build up to the Christmas Season (I know its only September) but the pre festival buying and planning needs a boost at times too. Even though the story line is normally the same as the previous film you've watched in the same genre.
