Atreyi Mukherjee

This movie directed by Arindam Shil is a thriller based on kidnapping of the son of Rustamji, a parsee man. Although Koel is excellent in her new Avtar, Mitin maasi of Arindam Shil deviates too much from Mitin Masi of Suchitra Bhattacharya. The smartness of her character covers the softness of the original character. Moreover the movie overall lacked the concreteness desired in the movie. The acting of June Malia depicting an aristocratic parsee lady worths a mention. The story also deviates from the original one but still it does not lose the thrill. Overall, it is worth watching.
