As a parent of a learning disabled child (now adult) and 3 none affected children this is such a wonderful portrayal. It shows the very difficult to manage downs with the wonderful ups. The writers and actors cannot be commended enough. It has bought me to tears (with laughter) as well as sadness but seeing something similar to what we have been through just helps make the ongoing journey that bit easier. Well done for having the guts to screen something that I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t choose to watch.
