Look y'all, there are some lore and historical changes, sure, but this series is amazing! It's intriguing and keeps you wanting more, and while some people think the pacing is slow, I think it's fantastic. It's slow enough to let you savor the amazing visuals and get to know the characters, but fast enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. In some ways I think it very much reflects Tolkien's style of taking time to explain things and really putting the reader in the moment. For example, in the scene where Elrond and Durin break rocks it just feels very Tolkien-esque because it's absolutely the kind of thing he would include. Anyways, I think it's worth a watch because it's really quite excellent.
And to you people who hate Galadriel, I genuinely have no idea why. She's insanely driven and strong, and I just love her. She literally threw away HEAVEN to go back and save the world, so I can't think of a better example of pure bad***.
