I dont understand why anna kendricks role was heavily emphasized if she didnt really play a vital role other than showing this guy was on a dating show. Imo if they reduced her role it would have let other characters shine but it made sense once i realized she directed the movie. Ofc she wanted to be the star in too even if it distracted from the whole movie. Even her jokes during the dating show where she makes jokes felt forced and delivered too quickly. I wished the movie priortized the friend of the victim or the serial killers last survivor instead of taking time away to focus on kendricks subpar role. Like who was the woman of the hour cause it certainly wasnt kendrick- for me it was the kickass girl at the end who actually put him in jail. Focus the writing on her and let kendrick take a back seat. She provided no star power or charisma whatsoever.

The female leads acting is over the top in a cringey way. Both the trailers and posters made the kdrama seem like an italian mafia revenge drama but it became so campy and repetitive like other kdrama legal shows. I dont get the hype behind it except for the male lead. The plot is so weak and convoluted but not in a good way. Shows great promise but falls victims to tropes and cliches and bad acting.
