I just watched this show take a 1920s house that was in PERFECT condition and say “Hey the door we’re gonna paint this NAVY BLUE and we’re gonna tear that out and paint the SMALL kitchen A DARK GREEN oh and that blue you liked so much nah we’re gonna tear that out completely! Oh and the original style of the home will not be there at all! YAY!” Like NO HONEY NO! It was monstrous. The house was in perfect shape all you had to do was probably fix the kitchen up a bit. And yet they sold it to this couple like it was a fixer upper? Imagine living in a restored 1920s house or even anything from the oldies LIKE THAT WOULD BE RAD! I feel like shows like this destroy these homes without a second thought when in reality we should be restoring them! Not hating on the people themselves but really find like some other place that actually needs fixing. (S4,Ep8)
