Melodramatic and ridiculous. What was once a clever drama, fell from grace to an exaggerated unrealistic joke. Who wrote this episode? A little kid who thinks the over-the-top dialogue and stupid appearances from a once menacing but now buffoonish Moriarty, would be cool and suspenseful? I’m so irritated. This used to be one of my favorite shows and I used to love the characters. Couldn’t even watch until the end. What a disappointment!

What made this series great were its characters. Diversity was taken to another level but in a real, authentic way. I couldn’t stop watching. The coming-of-age story is something we’ve seen before, but the storytelling, dialogue, and unique character perspective made it fresh. Funny, romantic, and also dealing with real issues of loss, acceptance of identity, society pressure, loneliness, and the tendency to live off appearances. It’s a teen series, but as an adult, I loved it.
