I’ve purchased and completed every assassins creed game and enjoyed them all, but I have to say that this game has the worst audio quality I’ve ever heard in a video game. The environment sound is mixed poorly and characters voice sounds like they’re talking through a tin can. I played for an hour then uninstalled. I’ll try this game again if there’s an update that fixes the audio quality. I’m honestly shocked that a AAA game released in 2020 has audio this poor.

When I was a few hours into this game I had no idea how this game could have so many 1 star ratings. It was an improvement in every way to the first game. Beginning was quite slow but that was ok as it set up a good story. But halfway through the game, at the climax of the story the game comes to a complete halt. Spoilers Right as Abby confronts Ellie the game goes from high intensity action to a grinding halt as you wander through set pieces while the developers force you to be sympathetic to your “antagonist”. You wander around a field looking for a zebra, you wander around an arena, you wander around an aquarium... for hours.... While playing as Ellie you hunt down the people who came for Joel one by one, it’s amazing. Sure Abby’s story picks up but I’m not emotionally invested at all. No matter how much the developers try to force it I don’t care about Abby. I’m not gonna overreact and rate this game 1 star because everything about it was perfect right up until the halfway point. Amazing game, truly a shame that half of it is wasted forcing you to care about the woman who kills Joel.
