Awesome album. The album starts off with the heavy and fast “72 seasons” then leads into a weirdly Batman inspired groovy “shadows follow”. Then James ponders on his demons with “screaming suicide”, followed by the fun “sleepwalk my life away”, and the dirty, almost sad but true “you must burn!”. The album then goes into the first single, the awesome “lux aeterna”, and then, in my opinion, the only clunker, which is “crown of barbed wire”. The album closes with a very strong 5 song run of “chasing light”, “if darkness had a son”, “too far gone?”, “room of mirrors” and the 11 minute “inamorata”.
