First off, you need to know this purpose of this story is to tell the story of international (female) body guards. The person that she was portraying is a real person. Rapace went through the “body gaurd training”. Oh- and did I mention she did all her own stunts?
Secondly, the movie was closely edited by the original body guard. This was her story. The awkward socializing is a side effect of the role. You don’t want to get close to someone bc you don’t want to put their lives at risk.
Thirdly, this is not an easy job- you are always on the go, no place to call home- you are in fact, a nomad. So like seasoned police officers, or military personnel- you have a hard time coming home, staying in one spot for too long, and dealing with the normalicy of life bc once you take these roles- your life will never be the same.
So, those things being said, I feel it was realistic and educational - yes it got weird at times bc not all the actors in the movie are pros and some of the story line could have been cleaned up a bit more. However, for a Netflix movie- I say not half bad.
