The story of a single mother raising a young child and being involved with a young man is getting oft repeated only with different backdrops. This is yet another one. Okay it starts meaningfully but then meanders on rather slowly on a predictable course . The characters do look realistic and sincere but sadness and negativity overrides any sustained joy( whatever brief) in the script/performances most of the times. Except for the kid and the grand mother, it's a gloomy affair almost all through.

One of the best feel good movies which tells that the serendipity of nature and bird life is second to none. The passions of life are it's very pulses and though being a winner is a goal but that does not mean everything.Superbly narrated with fabulous cinematography.Simply adorable!

Many marital relationships tend to run into rough weathers at times and some introspection and thoughtfulness can not only revive them but make them even better for the years ahead. Put into a story form with sensitive portrayals and relevant metaphors and running time of 96 minutes, everything about the movie falls into right place. The film is a combo pack of entertainment and a lesson in psychological and behavioral science of couple who have lost that spark of joy and love and how to ignite that again ! Well crafted !

Watching this Classic in a digitally restored version is in itself a great delight with a subtle and slow yet lively growing of love and trust between a very likeable runaway young woman and an accompanying reporter. Never knew that such a great stuff was created so long gap which could retain its freshness and fragrance even after 86 years ! Greatly Delightful !!

Derailed had a potential premise to be a taught thriller but it loses it's steam mid way through as a run of the mill blackmail stuff resting on a too predictable story line. To its final run up , the outcome and the solutions seem to be forced and too easy for a narrative. The performances too are just stereotypical and the movie is just a whimper sans any impact

When the matter pertains to human survival against all the odds , it's the human endeavor, perseverance and grit that matters' whether one makes it or not. The Way Back with its talented cast, grim but strong narrative is a movie which merits a serious and thoughtful viewing. It's a glimpse into the horrifying backgrounds on 1940s when the World was in turmoil and human lives were lost in millions. The movie is a tale of survival in the backdrop when everything was unfavorable except the human spirit of do or die !

Though the script is imaginatively created with endearing performance by Jennifer Hewitt (She sings beautifully too), the movie is just mildly absorbing. When the scenes are replayed next day, if you carefully watch the movie and see Ian's body language and what all he does for her love, you can pretty well anticipate the end. Besides Paul Nicolls appears monotonous in his performance and almost there is no spark in his portrayal. Cinematography , Jennifer and Tom Wilkinson are the plus factors of an otherwise average movie.

With it's great ensemble cast, One True Thing makes a viewing about the issues that crop up out of the blue,In a situation grappling with an advancing cancerous disease in the family , pertinent issues such as professional priorities, career choices of the children who have become adults, extent of the care of the sick and emotional imbalances become of vital importance. The balance could be tilted any way ,right or wrong. Very Well acted but some what lethargic in it's story telling, it's all about the love (or lack of it when most needed ) and the relationships that matter the most.

The Movie is skillfully created without losing its grip on the critical situation during that time. it's thought provoking that how close a World can be to a nuclear war given the stakes of major powers. Perfect portrayals, competent editing & direction and engaging script all through out. Great Watch !

The lessons of love and life are scripted beautifully yet in slowly crafted fantasy about the ultimate finality -that Death is. What happens when it takes a human form , desires to learn the secrets of media baron and business and then also fall in love with a beautiful young woman? It is a matter of heart over mind both for life and death in human form ( Joe Black).The fantasy has subtle messages within along with brilliant performances by the entire cast. The length is somewhat tiresome in between and if was shorter by about 40 minutes , then it would still have been better .
