Wonderful movie. It was made in 1947 right after WWII and the Holocaust. It captures the times. Cast with legendary great Gregory Peck, it won 12 Awards and 8 nominations including an Oscar for Best Picture in 1948. The message is that good people should not tolerate Antisemitism and must not stay silent. This message is as relevant today as it was years ago. Jew hate continues to be a problem, and it is up to us all to speak up. This bigotry destroys the very foundation our country. Too bad the review by Tiny Dancer below shows his despicable Jew hatred. I will call him and others like him out on vile beliefs. This is a must see for the next generation. It would be great if the film industry could make a contemporary remake.
