Total disappointment from Rajkumar Hirani. The whole concept of ‘Dunki’, or Donkey flight , where the travellers take treacherous route risking their lives, trek in the forest for days together, cross international borders, and finally reach their destination after travelling for 6 months to a year, gets over within 20 minutes. Rest of the movie is stuffed with unnecessary romance of SRK and Taapsee pannu where they look like father daughter combo, a useless song of srk day dreaming, and many others. SRK is portrayed has the legendary hero, he kills Turkish border forces, fools Saudi Arabian court and police, everything revolves around him. Sorry for the spoiler, Vicky Kaushal’s role ends in the first half itself. There is no scene which has seriousness, gasping for breath, tensed, anxious, which involves the real challenge of taking Dunki route. Boman Irani could have given a better role.
