I didn’t read the book and didn’t know it came from a book until after watching the movie. It wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever watched and the age gap was played up a lot which I feel like would be a huge issue in the world for an older woman with a younger man. It was a good enough movie and I’d watch it again. You have those feel good ‘go-to’s’ and this would fall under that category. I’m not a fan of an unfinished ending. I don’t want it left to the imagination. Finish the ending. Where the HEA?! It could have been 5⭐️ if they had spent less time on the fictional band and more on character building. If this was actually supposed to be about love and not just lust, then more time for each character to see why they love each other would have been nice. I felt showing Solene as a strong, independent female in the beginning was good and then showing her feeling self conscious and insecure in her amazing body is relatable for so many people. The flash forward was rushed to end the movie. There was room for so much in those missing years. The actors were perfect for these parts. They both played them very well.
