Allen Levi has written a masterpiece of such exquisite beauty that it is difficult to adequately describe the enormous emotional punch it contains. Levi, like Amor Towles, employs an impeccable use of the English language. He makes every word count in telling the story of Theo. Theo, whose bounty of goodness, generosity and joy are supremely life affirming. A fellow UGA graduate and Georgian, Levi has a true gift for finding beauty in the common place, and he tells a damn good story. Do not skip ahead to the end. The last few chapters are golden. I think this book touched me in ways no other book ever has. Read it. Thank you Allen Levi for the gift of your words.
