In all honesty, Barbie was just a bit weird. It didn't feel like it knew who it's audience was at all, and kept shifting from potentially great ideas and plotlines to strange songs, painfully bad acting and bright pink nonsense.
It had so much potential to go deeper and use Barbie as a familar concept to people as a means of really digging deep and exploring just how horrible life can be for women, in any part of the world, but they didn't. Ending it with "I'm here to see my gynaecologist" was more than unnecessary and just negated the rest of the film.
