Whoever rated this movie 5 stars are just ignorant of true history. A fake story out of propaganda machine from a totalitarian country glorifying a total disastrous defeat. One thing true though is many Chinese soldiers frozen to death and a lot of casualties due to the extreme cold weather, only because the Chinese leaders wanted to send them to the battlefield quicker to be able to set up a trap and launch a surprise attack so they wouldn’t waste time to properly equip their soldiers. Just showed how they never respect human life. Same way they carried out attacks, no concern of lives of those Chinese soldiers. True colors of communism was on full display.
