*minor spoilers*
Great engrossing scifi mystery that spanned the first half of epsiodes. While I found the dialog between the character's to be a bit lifeless(besides my homie jack. He's a real one), the underlying mystery that gets expanded on each episode kept me coming back.
Going into the second half, the mystery of all the scifi phenomenons that's been happening since the beginning of the series gets explained. This is where my one of my main problems lie with the show: the reveal was a one-size-fits-all answer to all the weird things that have been happening. Yes, it makes sense for the narrative and it gives everything that happens a general answer. But it feels cheap in that regard. I would have preferred it there was an explanation for each of the phenomenons that happened in the show. Instead they gave a weak explanation that puts the burden on the audience to speculate how everything works.
Disappointing mysteries aside, the romance-ish side plot between two of our characters was overdone, a lot meaningless scenes were dededicated to one of the friends in the group, and a lack of interesting ideas past the explaination resulted in the second half of the show to lack any of the suspense compared to the the first half.
If you view this show more like a sci-fi thriller rather than a mystery, you'll probably enjoy more of this show than I did. Despite my complaints, I still think this show is worth watching if you enjoy shows that deal with humanities advancements in science and technology.
