Cobra Kai is good. Shockingly good. I thought it was made as a parody of sorts before we watched the first season. But it’s really well done. It might take an episode or two to realize that the nostalgic cheesiness is sneakily brilliant. But it’s worth giving it an hour. William Zabka (Johnny) is great. It took me a long time to pinpoint it but he reminds me of an older Aaron Paul (Jesse, Breaking Bad). Too bad he’s been missing on the screen for 35 years. It’s a cross between Saved By the Bell, Days of Our Lives, Grumpy Old Men, what I imagine Riverdale to be like, and, well, Karate Kid. Sounds horrible, I know. But it’s not. 🤷‍♂️
