Great movie with a stellar cast. Acting was superb and the musical numbers extremely memorable. Dorothy Dandridge played her role excellently as did all the cast.

Poitier was an excellent actor and this movie showed his versatile talent. I also loved Shelly Winters who was a wonderful seasoned actress. She's on of my favorites and won an award for her role in this movie, if I remember correctly. The cast was on point and the story was so touching and well performed. The theme and message were relative when the movie was made and remain relative today. Conflict and tender connection within human interaction never goes out of style and unfortunately racial strife is still an issue.

The show has a lot of very good aspects such as a good ensemble cast, beautiful scenery and a really good storyline. That said, however, I have a real issue with the amount of ill-placed and unecessary foul language. I am no prude and I know cussing is something people do but it is used to the overkill in this show. Even the little boy uses bad language. It really should be toned down more. Otherwise I like the show a lot.
