Most of the reviews other than the New York Times fall back on improbability and unacceptable plot twists. Makes me want to harp back to my favorite response to critics of movies with a message that take license to make a point- ITS A MOVIE!!! I found the story fascinating and engaging and Clooney’s acting spot on. Never saw the plot twist coming which has proved to be A source of discussion since viewing which is what a great movie should do. Most important, in the current era of anti science and anti truth, the message is powerful. The entire story reminded me more of “On the Beach” than 2001.
