Watching this without any idea of origin and without preconception I found it to be a very enjoyable film with some good acting and special effects. However; looking into whether this story was actually true I was left disappointed. Ultimately it is based on the Story of James Glaisher's breaking of the altitude record in 1862. But sadly the films creators saw fit to do away with his real life male accomplice Henry Tracey Coxwell to be replaced with a fictional female character "Amelia Rennes". I really am so bored with watching films that feel the need to shoehorn in a strong female lead or a coloured actor just for the sake of it (yes they do this as well). You know what would be more interesting? Sticking to the facts or writing a completely new story.

This film is totally bizarre. Felt like i'd just re-watched taken but re-written by an incoherent junkie. Acting pretty poor all round although I suspect the script had something to do with it. Maika Monroe who plays Case probably did the best with it. The story was all over the place and the sound track choices were all a bit weird.
